HomeProof Privacy Policy

Overview

HomeProof is designed as an on-device-first home inventory app from Halverson Co. It helps you document rooms, belongings, photos, receipts, serial numbers, and proof-packet exports for your own organization. The current app is built so your inventory data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

Information you enter or capture

You may choose to add room names, item names, serial numbers, estimated values, notes, photos, and receipt images. HomeProof may use Apple on-device Vision OCR to suggest receipt details for your review. Receipt suggestions remain documentation aids and are not completed inventory data until you review them.

Local storage and sharing

HomeProof stores app data, attachments, and generated exports in local app storage on your device. The app does not operate a HomeProof cloud account in its current local-first version. If you use iCloud device backup, Apple device backup, AirDrop, Messages, Mail, Files, or another sharing destination, those services are controlled by their own privacy practices.

What we do not do

• HomeProof does not sell your personal information.
• HomeProof does not use third-party advertising trackers.
• HomeProof does not collect app analytics in the current local-first version.
• HomeProof does not upload your photos, receipts, serial numbers, or inventory exports to Halverson Co. servers.

Camera, photos, and OCR

Camera and photo-library access are user-triggered. HomeProof asks for access only so you can document your own home inventory and receipts. OCR processing is intended to run on device using Apple system frameworks where available.

Deleting your data

You can use the app's reset option to remove local HomeProof rooms, items, attachments, and exports stored by the app on that device. Data you already exported, shared, copied, backed up, or sent outside HomeProof must be managed in the destination service or app where you sent it.

Important limitation

HomeProof is for documentation and organization only. It is not insurance, legal, appraisal, tax, claim-submission, or reimbursement advice. You are responsible for verifying any information you share with an insurer or other third party.
